It is measured in millions of texels processed per second.

The better the texel rate, the better the video card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). This figure is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are processed in one second. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and higher screen resolutions. The better the memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general.

If it uses DDR type RAM, the result should be multiplied by 2 again. It is calculated by multiplying the interface width by its memory speed. Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of data (in units of MB per second) that can be moved over the external memory interface in a second.
